pure xtc is the genre-blurring project of Baltimore born artist Taylor Hughes, crafting emotionally charged, cinematic alternative pop rooted in confessional lyricism and immersive production. Her music has gained international reach, with features on VEVO’s Incoming Alternative and Apple Music’s New in Alternative, and placements in Birkenstock, Harvey Nichols, and boutique hotels across the UK and EU.
pure xtc has shared stages with Aly & AJ, Jenny Lewis (Rilo Kiley / The Postal Service), Dashboard Confessional, Fletcher, Big Freedia, Snow Tha Product, and more, and is known for live performances that balance intimacy with impact. Her debut full-length album is slated for summer 2026.
